One of the most frequent questions we receive as a historical society is, what's the deal with that pink building in Sims Park? Built in the 1920s, the Hacienda Hotel was built as place for the high-profile celebrities and well-to-do that were excitedly pouring into the new town of New Port Richey at the time and is now being remodeled and refreshed for a second time around as a hotel by the end of 2022.
